Welcome back to Term 3! It is our sincere hope that you enjoyed a refreshing and meaningful break, taking the opportunity to rest and reconnect with family and friends. As we begin the new term, we are excited for the opportunities and growth that lie ahead for our entire school community.
We would especially like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated HSC teachers who generously gave up their holiday time to support our Year 12 students. By organising and running HSC Holiday Study and Revision sessions during the break, these teachers have shown outstanding commitment to our students in their final term of schooling. We are truly grateful for their dedication, which continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our senior learners.
Thank you also to our parents and caregivers who participated in the recent Learning Conversations held on Thursday 24th, Monday 28th, and Tuesday 29th of July. We trust these meetings with teachers provided valuable insight into your child's academic progress and development, as reflected in their reports. We encourage all families to maintain ongoing communication with teachers throughout the term using Class Dojo for Primary and SEQTA Engage for Secondary, as we work together to support each student’s learning journey.
At the start of Term 3, our staff participated in CAPE & CASE, two professional learning days held at Mountain View Adventist College on July 21–22, organised by Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Greater Sydney). With the inspiring theme Unstoppable , these days provided valuable time for worship, collaboration, and professional growth. Our teachers returned encouraged, equipped, and energised to support your children throughout the term ahead.

This term, our school-wide spiritual focus is on Integrity . In Primary, we are exploring this theme under the title Against the Grain , and in Secondary, Integrity in a World of Compromise . Integrity means choosing to do what is right, even when it is hard or when no one is watching. We want to see integrity lived out through our school values: Respect, Resilience, Responsibility, and Attitude . When we act with integrity, we build trust, show strength of character, and make choices that reflect our faith and values.
As the Bible says in Proverbs 10:9 (NIV), "Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out." May this verse inspire us all students, staff, and families, to walk in integrity every day. Let us encourage and support one another so that integrity becomes a defining feature of our community and is evident in all areas of our lives.
Wishing you a wonderful and blessed Term 3. To our Year 12 students, we offer our heartfelt well wishes as you begin your final term of secondary school. May you embrace the journey ahead with confidence, focus, and a sense of accomplishment. Enjoy these last weeks, make lasting memories, and continue striving towards your goals, we are proud of you and cheering you on every step of the way.

Newcome Ball Gala Day
Newcome Ball Gala Day
On Thursday 31st July, Stage 2 students from Macarthur Adventist College represented our school at the Newcomb Ball Gala Day held at Hills Adventist College. Under the guidance of Miss Cheng, our students displayed fantastic teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship throughout the day. They performed exceptionally well, making it all the way to the finals, where they narrowly missed out on the win against Wahroonga Adventist School.
A special thank you to Miss Cheng for her dedication in running training sessions leading up to the event and for her excellent coaching on the day. Well done, Team!

Kindergarten 100 Days Smarter
Kindergarten 100 Days Smarter
Hip hip hooray, we’re 100 days smarter in kindergarten! To celebrate this special milestone, our little learners traded in their school hats for grey wigs, glasses, and walking sticks, arriving as the cutest collection of “100-year-olds” you’ve ever seen!
Throughout the day, we tackled all things 100, stacking 100 cups into towering masterpieces, crafting shiny crowns fit for a 100th Day celebration, building with 100 Lego bricks, and powering through 100 exercises (phew!). We hunted for alphabet lambs in a treasure hunt, went tricky word fishing, bounced to our hearts’ content on the jumping castle, and sculpted creative 3D objects with playdough.
A huge thank you to Mr G and his amazing Year 6 crew, who were the ultimate activity helpers and cheerleaders, we couldn’t have done it without them!
Here’s to the next 100 days of growing, giggling, and learning together!

Year 11 and 12 Visit the Sydney Opera House
Year 11 and 12 Visit the Sydney Opera House
Our Year 11 and 12 students recently had the opportunity to visit the Sydney Opera House, accompanied by Mr. Balague, Miss McEwan, and Mrs. Hosea. The evening began with dinner in the area and a walk around circular quay.
After dinner, the group visited Cahill Lookout to take in stunning views of the harbour before making their way to the Opera House for a performance of "Carmen." The opera featured an impressive set, vibrant costumes, and captivating music that truly brought the story to life. This outing provided our students with a valuable cultural experience, and we appreciate the support that made it all possible.

Sibling relationships are often a child's first and longest-lasting social connection. These bonds can offer companionship, support and opportunities to develop important life skills such as empathy, negotiation and conflict resolution. However, like all close relationships, sibling dynamics can be complex. Differences in temperament, age, needs and parental attention can all contribute to tension or rivalry. It's not uncommon for children to compete for attention, especially during times of change or stress.
As a parent or caregiver, your role in shaping the tone of sibling relationships is vital. Creating a home environment that celebrates each child's unique strengths and avoids direct comparisons helps reduce rivalry and fosters mutual respect.
By listening without judgement, teaching emotional regulation, and supporting each child's individuality, you can create a family culture where siblings feel secure and valued. This edition of SchoolTV offers insights to support young people in developing positive, lasting sibling bonds that can remain strong well into adulthood.
