Head of Primary's Message

This week, we held our annual College Photo Day — a much-loved tradition that brings our College community together. While it might seem like just another school event, these photos capture more than just a moment. They offer a snapshot of who our students are right now — their personalities, their growth, and the journey they’re on.
Photo Day gives us a chance to pause and appreciate how far our students have come, not just in appearance, but in confidence, maturity, and self-expression. Each student who steps in front of the camera is a reminder of what truly matters at our College, that every child is seen, known, and valued for who they are.
As we fix collars and smooth hair, we also remind our students that what matters most isn’t how they look, but who they are becoming — their kindness, effort, and character. Even in uniform, their individuality shines through in the smallest details — a cheeky grin, a quick glance, a bright spark in their eyes.
More than just taking pictures, Photo Day is a chance to celebrate both the shared spirit of our College and the unique identity of each child. As we reflect on this, we hold close this encouraging reminder:
"You are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for you to do." — Ephesians 2:10
This Photo Day, we celebrate every masterpiece — every student — as they grow, learn, and become who they were made to be.

Year 6 Breakfast
Year 6 Breakfast
Each Wednesday, our Year 6 students are involved in a Breakfast Club. Students are responsible for setting up the cereal and toast station, as well as letting the Year 6 teachers know what we need for the following week.
This time offers students a warm, welcoming space to begin their day with fellowship, food and faith. This time is all about building strong bonds over toast, cereal and conversation. We focus on the theme for the week and allow students to navigate the challenges of year 6 as their wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do in this space. This time is not just about breakfast; it's a chance to pause, connect with one another, and reflect on God's love and faithfulness. Through shared fellowship of gratitude, we nourish both body and spirit together.

Student receives certificate of appreciation from RSL

On Wednesday, members of the Ingleburn RSL Sub Branch visited our school to present a certificate of appreciation to one of our school captains, Mission Smith, in recognition of her role in the ANZAC Day Commemorative Service held in April. Sub Branch President Mr. Patrick O’Grady and Service Coordinator Mr. John D. Lees expressed their gratitude to the college for its support and commended Mission for her presentation in front of approximately 4,000 attendees. As a token of their appreciation, they also presented a plaque to the college.
The Ingleburn RSL Sub Branch has a long history of commemorating ANZAC Day with a Dawn Service at the Memorial Park, which is a significant event for the local community. Their continued engagement with schools highlights the importance of involving young people in remembering and honouring the sacrifices made by service members.
Mission's involvement in such a meaningful event underscores her leadership and commitment to preserving the legacy of ANZAC Day.

“All the World’s a Stage” – Year 10 Take on The Merchant of Venice !
This week, our brilliant Year 10 students stepped boldly into the world of William Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice , transforming words from a 16th-century script into dynamic, living drama on our very own stage.
Their journey began with a powerful academic experience at The Merchant of Venice Symposium , where they joined forces with senior HSC English students in an intensive exploration of character, theme, and dramatic form. This challenging collaboration stretched their thinking and inspired them to rise to the occasion, pushing their analysis – and confidence – to new heights.
And rise they did.
Today, the curtains opened on their culminating task: a character performance and analysis presentation that would make even Shakespeare proud. Dressed in character, students brought scenes to life through memorised dialogue, expressive voice, and creative movement. Each performance was followed by a thoughtful speech that unpacked their character’s journey, relationships, and role in the play’s larger themes such as justice vs mercy, prejudice, and love.
Their passion, preparation, and stage presence were nothing short of outstanding . The audience was captivated as Year 10s delivered powerful lines, embodied Shakespearean personalities, and interpreted the Bard’s language with clarity, emotion, and flair.
We are beyond proud of our Year 10 students, not only for their performances but for their willingness to dive into complex literature and emerge with a stronger voice and deeper understanding. Their creativity, courage, and critical thinking deserve a standing ovation.
Bravo, Year 10! Please join us in celebrating this talented group of performers and thinkers. They’ve proven that when you embrace the challenge, the stage is yours.

Sydney Prayer Breakfast
Sydney Prayer Breakfast
On Wednesday, 11th June, three student leaders — Tamana Sharma, Mission Smith, and Daryl Rivadulla — along with Mr Maua and Mr Lett, left the college grounds at approximately 5:20 a.m. to head into the city for the annual Prayer Breakfast, joining 1,700 other attendees.
The program included worship, a keynote speaker who encouraged everyone to pray for the city of Sydney, and a time of group prayer at each table. It was a meaningful experience for our students, giving them the opportunity to connect with representatives from other Christian schools.
