Trust God and Never Fold! – A Week to Remember
Our school recently wrapped up a powerful and inspiring Week of Spiritual Emphasis, and what a week it was! With the theme "P.O.V God's Director Cut!" , students and staff alike were uplifted and challenged to trust God's hand at work within their lives.
We were privileged to have Pr Sean Tavai , the Western Australian Youth Director, as our guest speaker. With his down-to-earth approach and captivating storytelling, Pr Sean delivered simple yet profound messages. His stories carried spiritual truths that reminded us that we are God's masterpieces, created so that we can do good works which God has planned for us.
Each day featured special performances from both our primary and high school students, showcasing their talents in creative and heartfelt ways . It was encouraging to see students stepping up and leading their peers with passion and purpose in worship.
Be sure to attend our High School Worship Night tonight (23/05/2025) at 6pm in the school hall and church the next day at 11am in the same location for the finale of our WOSE!
By the end of the week a simple catch phrase was left etched in our memories from Pr Sean. Trust God and Never Fold!
May you be blessed as you allow God to do His good work in your life.
Blessings Pr Alexis

MAC Senior Girls Make History on the Court!
On Wednesday 14th May 2025, we sent 3 teams out to compete at the CSSA Volleyball Gala Days. We sent an Open Girls team; Open boys team and an U15 Mixed Team.
From the first serve to the final point, the team met each competing team head on. Each team had a mixed bag of games with our Open girls winning every single game without dropping a single set, our Open boys losing 1 game in their pool which forced them out of finals contention and our U15 Mixed Team winning their pool and losing in the Grand Final. It was an incredible display of skill, teamwork, and determination. With constant rotations throughout the day, every player had the opportunity to contribute to each match, making this victory a true team effort.
More than just winning, the teams represented MAC with pride and integrity. Their positive attitude, encouragement for one another, and respect for their opponents didn’t go unnoticed. Linda, the tournament organiser, personally commended the team for their outstanding sportsmanship—something that every team they played appreciated.
Our Senior Girls Volleyball team made Macarthur Adventist College history by becoming the first ever senior girls' team to win the CSSA Open Girls Volleyball Tournament—and they did it in absolute style! A massive shout out to Year 12 student Christine Lelei, who captained the team with unwavering leadership. Her passion and dedication on the court and consistent encouragement were key to the team’s success.
We’re so proud of our volleyball teams—not just for bringing home the W, but for the way they did it. You’ve left a legacy and inspired future teams for years to come.

Cyber safety

Young people today are growing up in an increasingly connected world where technology is part of their everyday lives –– for learning, socialising, and entertainment. While the digital world offers enormous benefits, it also comes with serious risks. From cyberbullying and online predators to inappropriate content and screen time concerns, navigating the online environment can be challenging for young people and their families.
Cybersafety is not just about blocking access –– it's about empowering young people with the knowledge and skills they need to use technology responsibly and safely. This includes understanding privacy settings, recognising scams, and developing healthy digital habits. At the same time, it's important for parents and caregivers to stay informed, have open and judgement-free conversations with their children, and lead by example through positive online behaviour.
In today's digital age, safeguarding a child's wellbeing must also include protecting their online life. This edition of SchoolTV will help you better understand the digital landscape your child is navigating and offer practical strategies to help them stay safe, confident and in control online.
