Principal's Message

From the Principal

From the Principal

As we reflect on the events of this term, we are reminded of our theme, “Against the Odds” —a testament to the faith and courage that empower us to overcome challenges by standing firm in our beliefs. Recent events at our school have beautifully illustrated this spirit in action.

A Milestone in Road Safety

After nearly three years of persistent effort, we are thrilled to announce the arrival of our school’s dedicated Children’s Crossing Supervisor, Jannette. Her presence marks the culmination of a long-awaited safety initiative, ensuring our students can cross the road with greater security. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all parents who supported this cause. Please join me in welcoming Jannette to our school community and remember to adhere to her guidance when using the crossing.

Primary Athletics Carnival: A Display of Determination

On Thursday, May 8th, I had the privilege of participating in our Primary Athletics Carnival, where I joined the students in the discus event. It was inspiring to witness the enthusiasm and sportsmanship displayed by all participants. The highlight was running in the final event—the senior boys’ relay—a moment of unity and determination. This event exemplified how, like the athletes, we too can overcome obstacles through perseverance and teamwork.

Celebrating Mothers: A Heartfelt Tribute

On Friday, May 9th, we welcomed over 300 mothers and some fathers to our Mother's Day program. The day began with light refreshments in the hall, followed by various activities designed to create lasting memories between mothers and their children. Reflecting on Proverbs 31:25-28, we are reminded of the strength, dignity, and wisdom that mothers embody. Their unwavering faith and courage inspire us all. Celebrating this day with our students was truly special.

As we continue to navigate challenges and celebrate triumphs, let us draw strength from our faith and the support of our community. Together, we exemplify the resilience and courage that define our school spirit.

Warm regards,

Sam Lett

School Crossing Supervisor

School Crossing Supervisor

We are pleased to share some important and long-awaited news with you all. After more
than two years of dedicated effort and collaboration with our local council, we are very
pleased to announce the appointment of a Pedestrian Crossing Supervisor for our school.
On behalf of the school, I extend our sincere thank you for your patience, support, and
active involvement throughout this process. Your commitment to the safety and wellbeing
of our students has been invaluable.

We now welcome, Janette, who will be serving as our new Pedestrian Crossing Supervisor.
She will be stationed at the pedestrian crossing during morning drop-off from 8AM to
9AM and afternoon pick-up from 2:30PM to 3:30PM. This is to ensure that students and
families can cross safely and confidently.

To ensure the effectiveness of this role, we respectfully ask parents to discuss with their
children the importance of following the supervisor’s instructions at all times. Students
should only cross the road when explicitly directed by the supervisor, even if the road
appears clear. If you are walking inside the school gates to collect your child, we please
ask that you utilise the crossing. This is essential to maintaining a safe and consistent
crossing process.

Additionally, we remind all families that vehicles must not stop or park in designated 'No
Stopping' zones or bus zones around the school. Doing so obstructs the supervisor’s view
of oncoming traffic and compromises the safety of students crossing the road. Your
cooperation in adhering to these restrictions plays a vital role in maintaining a safe
environment for everyone.

Bunnings Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser

Bunnings Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser

As part of fundraising for our Samoan mission trip, we were able to raise over $1K profit at Bunnings Leppington last Sunday with a sausage sizzle! Special shout out to Pr Azora & Giovanna, Chantelle, Jessica Hick, and Johnston for dropping by to buy sausages and to our amazing Rakeshni for helping us for a few hours in the booth!

We really loved seeing you all and appreciated the support

Primary Athletics Carnival

Primary Athletics Carnival

On Thursday, 8th May, Macarthur Adventist College held its Primary Athletics Carnival at Narellan Sports Hub. It was amazing to see so many students enthusiastically participating in a range of events, proudly representing their houses while demonstrating our school values of respect, resilience, attitude, and responsibility.

A big thank you to all the parents who came along to cheer on the students; your support was greatly appreciated, especially those who joined in the fun during our senior relay! We’d also like to express our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff who worked hard behind the scenes to ensure the day ran smoothly. What a fantastic day of fun, teamwork, and school spirit!

Year 9 Music

Year 9 Music

Year 9 and 10 Elective Music students headed into the city to see the professional production of Annie at the Capitol Theatre. The day started with lunch in the city before settling into our great seats in the centre of the theatre.

During the intermission students got a behind-the-scenes look into the orchestra pit, where the band performed live during the show. The production was amazing, with standout performances of classic songs like The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow and It’s a Hard Knock Life .

It was a fantastic chance for students to see a professional production in action and take in the talent and hard work that goes into a show like this.
